Bishops Riding Club use a number of different coaches who can cater for all levels and abilities. We try to tailor our training to what our members want. Please let us know if we’re getting it right! If you have any ideas for training or coaches, or if you have enjoyed a particular clinic (or not enjoyed a clinic!) please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
Margaret has more experience teaching than you can shake a stick at! Years of running a successful riding school and training vast numbers of people towards BHS exams and pony club tests.
Margarets pole work sessions are great fun complete with potties!
Will needs no introduction locally! Will is a talented event rider with the skills to bring on young horses to compete with the best. He has competed up to 3*. Will started in the showing world on working hunter ponies and is a CHAPS ridden judge.
Will is a very encouraging and fun instructor. He will bring the best out of everyone whether flat work or jumping.
Ian has a wealth of experience teaching both dressage and jumping. He is a dressage judge and a BS course builder having himself competed to PSG and evented up to Advanced.
Ian is such a well respected trainer with his ability to teach and build confidence in nervous riders but also teaches riders working at a higher level.
You will also have a giggle with his great sense of humour.
Emma has a small yard where she takes horses in for breaking, schooling and competition livery. Emma has competed up to CIC*** level and she is a UKCC Level 2 coach.
Carla will be giving lessons to Club members from October. In dressage she has competed to Intermediate 1 level being mentored by Paul Hayley and Gwyneth Lewis. In eventing, she has competed to Intermediate level.
We have other coaches that we use like John Smart who travels North to us usually once a year to teach. John has ridden around Badminton and on nations cup show jumping teams.
We are always open to suggestions from members for coaches.
